Forging the Path
Featuring the Winner of the STSC Composition Competition
On June 13 at 7:30 PM at Saint Patrick's Church, 9 Leroy Street Binghamton, 13905, the Southern Tier Singers' Collective will present Forging the Path, the inspiring and uplifting culmination of our 2026-2027 season. The program features the world premiere of Until Dawn, the winning composition of our young composers' competition, by Vestal High School senior Nicholas Caterella, framed by motets by Anton Bruckner, Benjamin Britten's Hymn to Saint Cecilia, ethereal works by Morten Lauridsen and Dale Trumbore, and spirituals by Moses Hogan. Free and open to the public with donations gratefully accepted.

Carmina Burana
STSC joins forces with the Binghamton University CHoirs and Symphony Orchestra in a choral ensemble of over 100 voices for Carl Orff's epic meditation on springtime, love, and fate.
Arches in Sound
Ralph Vaughan Williams's soaring Mass in G Minor for double choir forms the centerpiece of this concert, which also features the late Romantic English choral works of CV Stanford and Renaissance polyphony of Raphaella Aleotti in the marvelous acoustics of Saint Patrick's Church.
Mozart Requiem
STSC joins the Binghamton Philharmonic and the Binghamton University Chamber Singers on the stage of the Forum Theater. April Horizons
Dr. Zanaida Stewart Robles is a composer, conductor and singer based in Los Angeles, California. Commissioned with the generous support of Visions Federal Credit Union, her Mass for unaccompanied choir is an expansion of her exquisite a cappella Kyrie.
Written specifically with STSC’s sound and St. Patrick’s acoustics in mind, the completed work will constitute a major contribution to the choral repertoire by a brilliant young Black American composer.

November Contemplations
STSC presents a concert of ethereally beautiful Gregorian chant from Binghamton University’s newly-acquired 16th-century chant manuscript created for the convent of La Crocetta in Italy.
By special arrangement with the Binghamton University Library, the manuscript itself will be on display at St. Patrick’s Church before and after the concert for public viewing.
